Memphis Language School was founded in 1990 as an English language school in Cairo. In 1992 the school opened Egyptian American Academy, a branch teaching the American curriculum. In 1996 the international section EAA was renamed Memphis International. Memphis International was opened as a separate section under accreditation from the Egyptian Ministry of Education, and subsequently accredited by Northwest, USA. It offers an American-style program with an added international dimension provided through the school's location and student body. The co-ed day schools are located on an 14-acre campus on the outskirts of Cairo.
